Egress windows will typically be installed where an smaller basement window exists but we can cut a hole for a window in foundation anywhere. Casement window are smaller than slider as they require less concrete to be cut saving a hundred dollars or more.
These are custom sized windows which are casement windows just like the one prior shown. All casement windows are open with a crank handle at the bottom and lock securely in two location. Sliding windows are less commonly installed in the basement and do not have the same security as a casement type of window.
